Gangnam Style

Is it possible to define our epoch with one single defining word such as unity, or disruption? What would be the world-concept of this epoch? Is it enough to draw a world view based on your personal experiences, of humanity, the individual, society and nature and go from there regardless of the consequences in art? Should the result be considered a by-product and thus of secondary importance? After all, what is the value of the aesthetic or spiritual experience? Is it not our epoch defined by materialistic gain only? Is that the actual world-concept? Money and anything goes as morally valid as long as producing it?

Productivity

Perhaps they are pumping up speed for the video, but if they are doing so I still think it's pretty much the way they work in any given day. They seem to be Romanians immigrants fighting for the dough in Germany. And in their spare time they would probably earn some extra money doing some street fighting or some dirty job. After all this seems more workout and training than labor and to be considered as both is perhaps closer to their mindset. I remember the days I used to work at filling up whole trucks of Keneth Cole shoe boxes at a warehouse in Secaucus, NJ. That was back in the late 1990's. A decade and a half has passed since and I can see that productivity per man has increased hundred fold. It is like you have to be young and superhuman to do warehouse work today to keep up with competition and the pace of the world.
